Service 4 of 4

Strategic technology investments, made simple.

Office moves on a Friday, infrastructure refreshes after-hours, Windows 11 deployments that don't tank productivity, DR testing that actually tests something. Fixed price upfront, clear cutover dates, documented handovers.

What we deliver

Four areas where we take projects end-to-end.

Network design

Wired, Wi-Fi, switching & routing

Server & virtualisation

Hyper-V, VMware & hybrid

Workstation refresh

Windows 11 & Autopilot

DR & continuity

Backup, replication & runbooks

How a project runs

Three phases, no scope creep.

Step 01

Walk the site

Engineer on the floor, talking to whoever uses the kit. We write down what's actually there, what works, what's grumbled about. You sign off the requirements before we cost anything.

Step 02

Design and quote

You get a high-level design (the big picture), a detailed plan (the step-by-step), a list of every bit of kit you'll need, and a fixed-price quote. If you want to add or change something later, we'll write it up before doing it. No surprise invoices.

Step 03

Deliver and hand over

Done in phases where it makes sense, over a weekend where it doesn't. At the end you get the finished docs, a "what to do if X happens" guide, and 30 days of close support before things go back to normal day-to-day.

Things we've actually shipped

The kit list, in plain terms.

Network Design & Implementation

Office network & Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi that reaches everywhere it shouldCisco-Meraki and Ubiquiti switching and access points, surveyed and installed
  • Separate guest Wi-Fi from your business networkVLAN design, network segmentation and guest portals
  • Staff can work securely from home or on the roadVPN, ZTNA (zero-trust remote access) and home-working architecture
  • Multiple offices that act like one, without paying enterprise pricesSD-WAN multi-site resilience and link bonding
Server & Virtualisation

Servers (in the office or in the cloud)

  • Replace ageing servers without disrupting the businessWindows Server and Active Directory builds, migrations and upgrades
  • Get more out of the hardware you've gotHyper-V and VMware virtualisation platforms
  • Sign-in works the same whether someone's at the office or at homeHybrid identity using Entra ID Connect and Conditional Access
  • Storage and backups that match how much data you've actually gotStorage, SAN and backup design with retention planning
Workstation Refresh & Migration

New laptops, office moves

  • Move everyone to Windows 11 without the chaosWindows 11 hardware compatibility check and phased rollout
  • New laptops arrive ready to use, set up automaticallyMicrosoft Autopilot and Intune zero-touch provisioning straight from the supplier
  • Move office without losing a working dayOffice relocations, end-user moves and weekend cutovers
  • Old laptops disposed of safely, with the data wiped properlyCertified asset disposal (WEEE) and secure data destruction
Disaster Recovery & Continuity

If the worst happens

  • Backups designed, tested and stored off-siteAcronis backup design, daily verification and offsite replication
  • Agree how much data you can afford to lose, and how quickly to recoverRPO (recovery point objective) and RTO (recovery time objective) definition
  • Run a fire-drill so you know it actually worksDR testing schedules, written runbooks and tabletop exercises
  • A plan for keeping the business running, not just the ITBusiness continuity planning (BCP) covering people, premises and process
Project terms in plain English Acronyms decoded.
HLD / LLD
"High-level design" (the overall picture) and "low-level design" (the detailed plan). Both written before any work starts.
BAU
"Business as usual", your normal day-to-day support contract, after a project finishes.
VLAN
A way of splitting one physical network into separate virtual ones, e.g. office staff vs. guest Wi-Fi vs. tills.
VPN
A secure tunnel from a home or hotel laptop into the office network.
ZTNA
"Zero-trust network access", a modern replacement for VPNs that only gives each user access to the apps they need.
SD-WAN
A way of using two or more internet connections together so multiple sites stay online and fast.
Hyper-V / VMware
Software that lets you run several "virtual" servers on a single physical server. Saves money and rack space.
Active Directory / Entra ID
Microsoft's user account system. Active Directory is the older on-site version; Entra ID is the cloud version. Many businesses run both.
Intune
Microsoft's tool for managing company laptops, phones and tablets centrally.
Autopilot
Microsoft's "out of the box" setup. New laptops arrive shrink-wrapped, the user logs in, everything's ready.
RPO
"Recovery point objective", how much data you can afford to lose if disaster strikes (e.g. up to the last hour).
RTO
"Recovery time objective", how long you can be down before it really hurts (e.g. back online within 4 hours).
Runbook
A written, step-by-step "what to do if X happens" guide, used so any engineer (not just yours) can recover the system.
